We are committed to protecting your privacy. By using the app, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

We respect your privacy — and your data.

• Does NOT collect personal data
• Does NOT access or store your location
• Does NOT share any information with third parties
• Does NOT use analytics or tracking tools
• Does NOT contain ads

All QR codes and barcodes are generated or scanned locally on your device. No data is sent to external servers.

3. Data Stored on Your Device

For your convenience, Code Scanner keeps a scan history of the codes you scan, along with your app settings. This information:

• Is stored only on your device, in the app's private storage
• Is never uploaded, transmitted, or shared with us or anyone else
• Can be cleared at any time from within the app (Settings → or the Clear option in Scan History)

Uninstalling the app also removes this data.

4. Permissions

To function correctly, our app uses the following:

• Camera: to scan QR codes and barcodes through your camera. Camera images are processed on your device in real time and are never stored or transmitted.
• Photos & Media: when you choose to scan a code from a saved image, or save a generated code, the app uses Android's built-in photo picker and media store. It does not request broad access to your files.

These permissions are only used for their intended purposes and are never used to collect your personal information.

5. Actions You Choose to Take

When you tap an action on a scanned code — such as opening a link, connecting to a Wi-Fi network, adding a contact, dialing a number, sending an email or SMS, opening a location in Maps, or searching the web — the relevant content is passed to the appropriate app or service on your device, at your request.

Code Scanner itself never transmits your data automatically. Any information you send afterward is handled by the other app or service you choose, under its own privacy policy.

6. Third-Party Services

• This app does not use any third-party services that may collect information used to identify you. It contains no advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs.

7. Children’s Privacy

• We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us, and we will take appropriate steps to remove such information.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
We recommend reviewing this page periodically for any changes.
