Introduction

This app operates entirely on-device and is designed solely to display battery-related information (such as level, voltage, and temperature).
No internet connection is used or required, and no data leaves your device at any time.

Information We Do Not Collect

We respect your privacy — and your data.

• Does NOT access or store your location
• Does NOT share any information with third parties
• Does NOT use analytics or tracking tools

Permissions

• Notifications: Show the persistent service notification and the optional "battery full" alert
• Display over other apps: Use the floating battery overlay
• Foreground service: Keeps the user-enabled battery-monitoring service alive in the background
• Ignore battery optimizations: So the user-chosen polling interval is not throttled by Doze
• Full-screen intent: Surface the "battery full" alert over the lock screen
• Usage data: Read the device's screen on/off events to calculate the "Screen on duration since last charge"

Foreground services

Battery Info uses two optional foreground services (Battery Monitoring Service and Battery Overlay Service). Each is off by default and can be enabled or disabled by the user inside the app. While running, each service shows a persistent notification so you always know it is active. The services only read battery state from the operating system; no data is collected or transmitted.

Local data storage

Battery Info stores the following on your device:

• User settings and preferences (refresh interval, toggle states, etc.)
• Battery health samples (charge-counter values captured at full charge) used to compute estimated capacity and cycle count
• An optional user-initiated backup file (Settings.txt) written to your device's Document/Battery Info folder via Android's standard MediaStore when you tap "Export". This file is never transmitted by the app — it exists solely so you can restore your settings later.

Third-Party Services

This app does not use any third-party services that may collect information used to identify you or SDKs.

Children’s Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us, and we will take appropriate steps to remove such information.
